How to Cancel or Reschedule a Haircut Politely

Give as much notice as you can

Most studios ask for at least a day, and many set their own cancellation policy. The earlier you move or cancel, the more likely the studio can offer your time to another client.

Reschedule instead of cancelling when you can

If you still want the service, moving it keeps the studio’s day full and keeps your relationship with your barber. Book the new time at the same moment so you do not forget.

What to say

Keep it short and polite: the day and time you booked, that you need to move it, and the new time you would like. If you are cancelling for good, a quick thank-you goes a long way.

If you are running late

Call or message as soon as you know. Many barbers can still fit you in if you are a few minutes behind; if you are significantly late they may need to shorten the service or move you.

Changing a booking on ChairMora

Rescheduling follows the shop’s saved allowance and notice period: by default, one client change until 24 hours before the appointment’s current start. The website, widget, SMS, WhatsApp, ChairMora phone line, voice chat and text chat share that allowance, so changing channels does not give extra moves. Shops can choose a different limit and cutoff, or handle all changes directly. Failed attempts and changes made by the shop do not spend your allowance.

Cancellation stays available until two hours before the appointment.
